Portraits Robert Lino Style
Tuesday, August 17, 2010
The small details make the big difference. This is the philosophy behind Robert Lino’s work. His style is natural, elegant and full of feeling. His secret is understanding the rules of classical portraiture and the psychology of body language. His scheme is the ability to teach these concepts in simple terms. Learn his unique posing techniques and create images that are contemporary, flattering to the client, and help to define your own style.
Robert Lino initiated in the field of photography in 1975 in Miami, Florida working for a high volume studio. Establishing his own business in 1986, providing full photographic services, specializing in fine portraiture and social events. His style of photography follows the lines of classical portraiture, formal and very elegant. Robert is recognized for his unique ability to direct and pose his clients. Although must of the emphasis is aimed towards proper posing, capturing the feeling of every image is his main objective.
Robert has been awarded the Photographic Master and Craftsman Degrees and the Professional Photographer Certification from PPA, the ASP Fellowship -highest earned award of the profession; as well as the Accolade of Photographic Mastery, Accolade of Outstanding Photographic Achievement and the Accolade of Exceptional Photographic Achievements from WPPI; the Florida Degree of Photographic Excellence and the Florida Service Award. Soc. of Prof. Photog. of Mexico awarded him with the Honorary Master Degree, as well as the Honorary Mentor Degree in Puerto Rico.
His professional profile, as well as his articles and images, have been chosen to be part of many books and photography publications including the AmPhoto Publishers book, “The Business of Wedding Photography,” featuring thirty of the world’s best wedding photographers. He was awarded “Best Latin American Photographer” in 1996 by Foto Imagen Magazine, who also publishes each month his articles on wedding portraits. His first book “Wedding Poses” was published, English and Spanish, in 1997. It is an illustrated handbook showing step-by-step how to pose for formal wedding portraiture.
Robert’s major professional satisfaction comes from the opportunities to share his experiences with other professionals in the field. He has presented educational seminars in many different programs as the PPA National Convention; WPPI Convention; and other photographers conventions in Mexico, Spain, Canada, Guatemala, Peru, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and the Bahamas; as well as presentations, including week-long courses in cities throughout the US and Latin America. His programs are presented in English and Spanish. Participants in these courses often describe Robert Lino as someone who really teaches in simple terms.
